Evergreen's efforts since it was founded in the year 2001 :
Students that we have supported:
 

  • Currently completed 10 rural libraries (+8 satellite libraries) in 5 provinces with 4 in process

  • 190 scholarship students

Seminar & tour area

  • 14 Rural school libraries with additional 8 satellite libraries

  • Held librarian training workshop in Datong, Qinghai in 2002

  • Held a teachers training workshop in Xining, Qinghai in 2003

  • Held an internation conference in Beijing in 2004

  • Held a librarian workshop in TianZhu, Gansu in 2005

  • Will hold another international conference in Kunming, Yunnan in 2006


Graduation ratio of students being supported by evergreen:
 

  • 36 students went on to attain college education

  • 5 students went on to Normal school who will become teachers after graduation

  • Estimated students/teachers/rural residents directly impacted by our effort (Well over 20,000)


Seminars about Chinese rural education, the tour in China

  • Held an international conference on education in 2004 (in Beijing)
