Submission

The conference calls for contributions in three major categories: presentation papers/reports, teaching demos, and poster session submissions.

All submissions must be original and may not overlap substantially with any work already published in any form or presented in other conferences. The same work may not be simultaneously submitted to other publishing avenues.

All contributors are asked to submit an initial abstract of about 100-300 words in length for initial consideration.


Submissions may be sent either by email (as attachment) to itie2006@slis.sjsu.edu or by completing the online submission form
  • No hardcopy is accepted. Acceptable file formats include Word, PDF, and RTF.

Procedure & Proceedings

All submissions will be anonymously refereed. Accepted papers/reports/teaching demos will be scheduled for presentation at the conference, and exhibit space will be reserved for accepted poster session papers. Teaching demos will be scheduled in pair for presentation at the conference based on subject matter whenever possible.

The ITIE2006 conference proceedings will be published by the Journal of Library in Yunnan publishing house, Yunnan Provincial Library, Kunming, P. R. China. The proceedings will include full papers/reports selected by anonymous refereeing, abstracts only of presented papers/reports and teaching demos, and a bibliographic listing of poster session submissions.

Full Paper Requirements

Submitted
The paper/report category includes theoretical discussion, survey of current practices, policy and infrastructure analysis, pedagogical research and curricular design of teaching specific subjects, and program/project reports.

Full papers/reports should be not longer than 10 pages (including everything), double spaced using 12-point Times New Roman or other equivalent font, and with reasonable margins on letter-size paper.

The submitted manuscript should include a cover page with the title, author(s), affiliation, contact information, and an abstract. In case of multiple authors, one of them shall be designated as the contact person.  



Teaching/Courseware Demonstration. 

Contributions in this category may be demonstration of instructional techniques and/or courseware in any subject fields. Each teaching demo will be paired in presentation with one from the other side of the Pacific Ocean, in the same discipline whenever possible.

Submission in this category should specify the subject area and grade level(s) of intended audience. It should also include a list of suitable subjects/topics of teaching when appropriate and a description of pedagogical principle and instructional method.
