The Evergreen Education Foundation is most fortunate to have staff and volunteers in China, USA, and throughout the world. Yu Zhang
Yu Zhang 张昱 (China Project Director)

Ms. Zhang joined EEF as China Evergreen Rural Library Service Center (CERLS ) Program Director since in 2008, in overseeing and coordinating EEF programs in China. CERLS is the administrative arm of the EEF in China. Before joining EEF, Ms. Zhang worked in Shin Shin Educational Foundation as satellite library program manager from 2006-2008. Prior to her NGO career, Ms. Zhang enjoyed a career in IT industry in both Silicon Valley, US and in China for 9 years. Ms. Zhang’s particular interest is the innovative and effective application of Information Technology in China’s rural education for economic and social growth, sustainable development, and welfare. Ms. Zhang received a B.S. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, China and holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Cornell University, USA.

 

 Volunteers

Donna Yeung
Donna Yeung 赵国琛 (Website Master)

Ms. Yeung is the Vice President of IT Department of Hydrocarbon Publishing Company. She worked for IBM and Digital Equipment before taking the present position. Ms. Yeung’s experience also includes maintaining IBM main frame, development of PC operating system at IBM Watson Research Center, setting up web server, creating web pages, developing registration applications for Hydrocarbon Publishing Company. Ms. Yeung has been the EEF Website Master as a volunteer since 2001.

 
Bin Gui
Bin Gui 桂賓 (Legal Counsel)

Mr. Bin Gui is a partner of Kwai & Partners. Mr. Gui’s practice focuses on capital markets transactions, transnational mergers & acquisitions, trusts, wills, assets management & wealth dynastic succession, NGOs, real estates, minerals & international trade, Arts, etc. Mr. Gui advises, domestically and internationally, all types of organizations and enterprises, inclusive of Fortune top 500 multinational corporations, banks and financial institutions, state-owned and private companies, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, trade associations, charity foundations, as well as individuals. Mr. Bin Gui volunteers as legal counsel for Evergreen Education Foundation.

 
Guojuan Shang
Guojuan Shang 尚国娟 (Project Coordinator)

Ms. Shang is an Elementary School English Teacher at the International School in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China. She is a graduate of Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an, where she majored in Educational Technology. Ms. Shang spent a year as an exchange student at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida majoring in Elementary Education. She comes from Tian Zhu Tibetan Autonomous County in Gansu Province, China, where she was one of Evergreen Education Foundation’s scholarship students. Ms. Shang has an interest in technology; and will be working on Evergreen’s Science and Technology initiative.

 
Yu Qixu
Qixu Yu 余启绪 (China Teacher/Student Coordinator)

Prof. Yu serves as coordinator of teacher and student in China since 2001. He taught computer science at Changjiang University and Xianning University. He received B.S. from Wuhan University.
Prof. Yu's passion is coaching kids to reach their best academic performance.

 
Mandy Guo
Mandy Guo/过曼

With a background in computer science and business, Mandy Guohas always been interested in applying information technology to improve local communities, bridging digital gaps in rural China through social entrepreneurship. Mandy's involvement in non-profit practice primarily focus on fund raising, volunteered at foundations such as Education and Science Society and ShinShin Education Foundation since 2000. Mandy involved in securing a SBIR grant from NSF to commercialize a distributed computer system to enhance distance learning in 2004. Experienced in ranging from start-ups to universities, Mandy currently works at Shutterfly, a leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing services. With BS and MS in Computer Science, Mandy received her MBA from University of Chicago.
