Faith Chao/趙耀渝 (Founder and EEF President)
Prof. Chao is founder and president of EEF. She has taught Mathematics at Golden Gate University for 30 years. She received B.S. from Agnes Scott College, M.S. from Emory University and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Toronto. Prof. Chao has published numerous academic papers and gave many presentations in area of using Information Technology to enhance teaching of Mathematics at international conferences. She was presented "Best Teacher" award in 2007 and 2010 by Golden Gate University and was elected as Outstanding Alumni by Agnes Scott College in 2008.

 
Eileen Liching Tang/喻麗清 (Co-Founder)
Eileen Tang ( Her Chinese name is Yu, Liqing ) is a licensed pharmacist in Taiwan. Before she moved to California in 1978, she is very much devoted to creative writing. Over the years, she has authored more than 40 books in Taiwan and China. Currently she lives in Berkeley after having retired from the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology in UC Berkeley. She is also a co-founder and volunteers as the bookkeeper for Evergreen Education Foundation.

 
John Lee
John Lee/李思正 (Chairman)
Mr. Lee is the I.T. Executive of San Francisco YMCA. He has held senior I.T. leadership positions in various companies of biotechnology, international financial and banking, shipping logistics, and utility; and has taught courses at UC Berkeley Extension. Mr. Lee is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). His other non-profit involvement include MentorNet and Red Cross. Mr. Lee is also a Commissioner of San Francisco Public Library.

 
Jingyi Yu/余荊意 (Secretary)
Ms. Yu is the U.S. Sales and Marketing Manager for Energy Power.  She has formerly worked as a Research Associate at University of California at San Francisco. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Wuhan University, China; M.S. in Biology from National University of Singapore. Ms. Yu volunteered in SOAR foundation for about 3 years, and joined Evergreen Education Foundation in 2001. Ms. Yu volunteers as the Evergreen Education Foundation’s Secretary and also manages the scholarship program.

 
Jo Bell Whitlatch
Dr. Whitlatch's extensive library experience covers three academic libraries in many areas, including collection management, acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, reference, interlibrary loan, and library management. She has also has taught in the San Jose State University Graduate School of Library & Information Science and is a past president of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA). Her research interests and areas of special competence are: information seeking needs and behavior, user studies in libraries, evaluation of service organizations, and management of academic libraries. She has a Ph.D. in Library and Information Studies and an M.A. in Asian Studies, University of California, Berkeley. Rodney Amen谢哲光
Rodney Amen/謝哲光
Mr. Amen is a Senior Electrical Engineer with Hanergy Mobile Product Development Group. He has 30 years experience in Engineering and Management at several Silicon Valley companies including Amazon Lab126 working on Kindle devices; and Apple designing laptop computers. While at Microsoft, he managed the electrical engineering team that developed the Xbox game console. Mr. Amen holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Pacific in California . He co-founded the Village Children Fund, a non-profit organization, which built 3 elementary schools in Guizhou Province. Mr. Amen is responsible for EEF's Science projects including EEF's very successful solar lamp project.

 
Daniel Peng
Daniel(Dan)Peng/彭丹平
Dr. Peng brings extensive experience in large scale scientific computing, optimization and analysis for complex, numerically intensive applications including lithographic modeling and inverse lithography technology. Prior positions include lead engineering positions at Briance and Barra Incorporated. Dr. Peng has authored numerous publications in the field of mathematics and lithography. Dr. Peng received a B.S. and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Beijing University, Beijing, China, and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Peng serves as the Financial Officer for Evergreen Education Foundation.

 
Mengxiong Liu
Mengxiong Liu/刘孟雄
Professor Liu, the newest Evergreen Education Board member, worked at San Jose State University in California for 25 years as a professional librarian in the University Library and adjunct faculty at School of Library and information Science, where her research focus was on science and technology resources, human information seeking behavior, reference and instructional services, and digital libraries. Prof. Liu earned her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from University of Michigan. She published a number of research articles in scholarly journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and was the editor of Journal of Library and Information Science. Prof. Liu has been invited to lecture in many libraries and universities in China, Europe and Latin America. Additionally, she served on several ALA committees and councils; and was the past President of the Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA). Prof. Liu was honored receiving Fulbright Senior Specialist Award in 2007.
